The Role

This role is for a highly motivated and experienced architect/engineer who will drive the direction and delivery of complex, end-to-end, data-driven solutions on the Xfuze platform.  You will not only become an Xfuze “super user” but also a strategic leader, guiding a team of engineers and analysts in mastering the platform. 

Leveraging your deep business and technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and exceptional communication, you will deliver impactful and innovative industry solutions that fully utilise the capability of the Xfuze platform. 

We are looking for a Principal Data Architect to join the Xiatech Xfuze platform team to own and produce the following key deliverables:

• Design and build the industry layer packs that accelerate and simplify the deployment of the Xfuze platform by the Xiatech professional services team, clients and third party integrators. The first packs will focus on key retail and CPG operational processes, workflows and KPIs
• Each packs will consist of re-usable components and be fully aligned to the Platform roadmap and to recognisable business processes e.g. order to cash
• The components will include configuring, creating, extending and deploying a set of industry specific components in order to build complete solutions end to end for our customers:
  • Third party connectors (e.g. Shopify, Akeneo, Bloomreach, Optimove, etc)
  • Xfuze workflows/data transformations
  • Xfuze function library – configure, write and extend a library of reusable functions, etc. 
  • Xfuze canonical data models (XDM) – configure, extend or produce generic reusable data models
  • Xfuze data hubs (data mapping, domain specific component)
  • Xfuze data quality dashboards
  • Xfuze lineage
  • Xfuze ML models
  • Xfuze BI dashboards
• Produce documentation and training guides on the packs and how use them
• Providing feature requests into Product to enable packs to be developed at pace
• Communicate to the client teams (alongside the Platform Product Manager) – give instruction on best practise and receive feedback on any gaps/improvements 

You will work closely with the Xfuze client teams, Xfuze platform product owner and Platform Architect in the Platform team in delivering the Industry packs element of the Xfuze product. 

This is a key role in the continued journey of Xfuze to be a recognised global leader in the data  platform space.

Your Knowledge & Experience

• Proven ability as a pioneering superuser a similar software product with a keen desire on getting the most out of the platform and building complete solutions
• Ability to design and build optimised data patterns and industry packs that take advantage of Xfuze event based architecture and canonical data models.
• Strong understanding of operational retail business processes to an activity level 
• Ability to define and configure business logic and business workflow to meet the needs of the industry processes
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Xiatech client teams  and stakeholders at all levels.
• Needs to have at least 5-7 years experience in deploying and configuring similar software across multiple industry sectors including retail industry
• Worked as part of a consulting organisation and understand the challenges and expectations of the Xiatech professional service team
• Hands-on expertise in modern data platforms, tools, and technologies, such as:
  • Alteryx, mulesoft, MS data factory, Talend, Patchworks
  • Advanced data modelling – operational and analytical  
  • Python, sql 
  • Databricks, Spark
  • Orchestration frameworks such as Dataform, Airflow, and GCP Workflows
  • Microsoft Power BI or similar
  • Data warehouse and data lake design and implementation
  • General technical background with understanding of modern data platforms and technologies
